Hi everyone, I am not sure if I feel good about something I did or that I should just let this go. I have a very strong feeling to warn other women who may come in contact with my ex-boyfriend. I have seen/heard so many stories in a variety of places, that I really don't want another woman or girl or anyone to experience domestic violence. My ex-boyfriend created a profile and was back on the dating website that I had originally met him on. His profile was exactly the same as when I met him a year ago, only this time he said "I am not looking for any baggage or drama.I gave at the office". So, that was aimed at me..he does that..very passive aggressive. And to me, very predictable.
So, there is an option on everyone's profile to "report a concern". I was scared to do this, but I did it. Apparently you can report if someone is vulgar, or harassing you, or misusing the website in some way. There is an "other" option, for a narrative note. I shared that I had met this man on their website, he was emotionally abusive to me, I knew nothing could be done, just wanted to warn them so no one else got hurt". 2 days later..his profile is gone..I think the website removed it. I am so glad the dating site did this..they listened to my concern and acted on it. Will he find another website?...I know he will, but hopefully this will slow him down some, and if I protected 1 woman from him..that makes all the difference in the world to me. I believe in slowing him and any abuser down..so maybe I answered my own question. I didn't have any contact with him, haven't heard from him and won't respond if I do. But, I hope I helped someone else..that is huge for me.
