Hi, I just wanted to tell someone and maybe get some advice as I simply do not know what else to do, the background
Im I'm not a confrontation person and hate violence so you know but here goes
I met through social networks the most perfect woman, everything about her I love and she told me she feels the same in return and everything was going very good, but going back to the first few weeks whilst we were out her phone went off a few times and she explained it was her ex (who she split up with over 12 months ago) and he was pestering her to meet him.. she left it and nothing, after the next few weekends same kind of thing and so on for a few weeks I thought nothing of it and thinking it was just him trying to get back with her but after a few months as I started to have stronger feelings for this woman it started to bother me why he would not give up, so one night after a few drinks her phone went off and I answered it and it was unreal soon as he heard my voice the volly of abuse I got and the threats he shouted down the phone at me I hung up, he instantly rang again and told my girlfriend he was coming to her house straight away, which a baby sitter was watching her son so in a panic she said no wait I will meet you and told me she would be back and that was that, well after they met she told him about me and also he told her he was going out with someone, but after a time he grabbed her phone pushed her away and he took all my details.. name, number etc from her phone I dont know what happed then but after talking more he said he was happy himself now and left her to go.
having spoke to her the next day she told me the above and said they both said there goodbyes.. Well,
Over the next few night's he's text me all through the night on every possible thing my girlfriend had on her phone with abuse and threats telling me he's after me and my family and asking how my children are! he's telling me how well connected he is and his background etc, and as I live with two older relatives I do not want him coming around to there house, after the constant abuse over the week I had a moment of panic after he mentioned coming after me again and my children so I told him I would back out of everything and I split up with my girlfriend and changed my number and cancelled all my social media accounts..
I now know she had a restraining order on him which he ignores and I'm unsure of what to think, I know this woman should of gone back to the police and kept at it but there you go, I do feel loads for her and wanted to make it work but this just threw everything around, In some ways I want to try to help her because of the way I feel but then I feel like I'm best off staying away
It's so confusing not knowing what to do, as the outcome of what he's willing to do to keep control is not worth thinking about.
what kind of options do I have
before I try to contact this woman again to offer help / direction
