WooHoo!!!!! They moved out today!!!! Breath!!! Breath!!!
My son got out of basic training months ago (military) He said he had no where to go. I let him move in. He didn't hang around much, so even though I didn't like it, it wasn't too bad. It's just a pisser when people live with you, and they slip past taking out the trash, cause they slip in and out so quickly.
Then a few weeks ago, he said his new girlfriend is getting kicked out. I first met this girl a month ago. My son said she signed off on the parental rights to her baby, so her aunt is kicking her out. The baby has severe medical problems and the mom is only 21. Tug on the heart strings. I let her move in. That was two weeks ago.. My son never mentioned that she has to sleep in past noon. I was making that little princess get up and get out and split fire wood. It worked! They moved out today.
The next time my son asks if he can move back home, I will tell him to call somebody else. Hell No!!!
I gotta chuckle. They are moving in with her sister. As they were packing their things and loading the car, I said you may want to pitch-in around the house or you better get an apartment lined up real quick. The little girlfriend snarky-ly told me that her sister only expects dishes to be washed. I just smiled.
Yeah, the dishes will be washed on your terms, when you get up, if you get around to it, never on your sisters terms... good luck!!!
I really don't have a problem with saying no to my son. Cause I have found that he is quick with figuring out other solutions when I tell him to call someone else.
And, it's better for my blood pressure to not be taking care of grown adults
