My friend got another phone call. From the same person as before. This time she said that my ex told her that she wishes she could just talk to me one more time, and then she'd be able to let go. So now I definitely know whose side she's on. My friend called this person back and told her never to call again or she'd report her. Tomorrow I'll call the probation office and report it again. I talked to my therapist and she said it sounds like my ex has no idea where I am, that she is in a state of desperation, and that is why she's resorting to using her friend and my friend, in the hopes of getting even a shred of information. I'm going to keep up all of the same safety measures, of course, but I'm not freaking out as much as last time. I'm just really pissed off that she's playing these games, and I'm having to clean up the mess. Now I'm going to have to call all of my friends up in my hometown, anyone whose number my ex might have, and let them know not to tell anyone anything, no matter who they say they are. I'm pretty sure I know where she's getting the numbers. I left an old cell phone up there, with my contacts still on it. So she's probably got everyone's number. In better news, I found out I wouldn't be able to afford the pet rent on top of vet care and dog food, so my dad wrote me out a check to cover the pet rent for the next year! I feel so lucky to have such a supportive dad. I'm going to the animal shelter this Saturday.

What a relief! And you take the safety measures very seriously...which given her persistence is a good thing.
The dogs are good, your family is in it to protect you and might have a dog soon. Take some time with finding the right dog- there are a ton of good ones out there but you probably want to find one which does not add extra stress to your life and has a balanced personality. The shelter people or future vet might be able to help you finding the right personality dog. Itll be so nice to come home to one and add to relaxation and stress relief.
Way to go!
