Hey Folks,
It looks like sadly some of you posted here in the hope of receiving immediate support in whatever may be feeling heavy right now, and I am sorry you did not always get what you needed and deserved. Our forum is NOT a professional support organization, and I always recommend reaching out to certified and accredited professional support services in your country / state / city.
Please find below some resources that are professional, and where you can contact licensed mental health professional 24/7 and 365 days.
Going into the holidays season especially, this might be a lifeline for some of you.
Karen, Steve, and I try as much as we can to pop in here and reply but we do not own this forum or website, and we also take breaks from it as you can imagine the topic of DV gets heavy at times. Or life simply happens and we don't have time to swing by.
But that does NOT mean your situation is not important!!!!
Your situations and your feelings and unmet needs and your safety matter. A lot.
If your life and/or mental health are in danger right now, reach out.
Google your country and the help hotline you need (suicide, DV, sexual assault including marriage rape, etc.)
www.thehotline.org/
suicidepreventionlifeline.org/
www.nationaldomesticviolencehelpline.org.uk/
www.rainn.org/about-national-sexual-assault-telephone-hotline
You ALL matter and you ALL can get better and live a life worth living again.
But you need to make that phone call or start a live chat with professional support.
If I have one single regret about my DV experience, it is that I thought I should do it all alone.
I waited years to get professional support.
Take your own healing and well-being into your own hands, and do not stop until you get the help that feels right and is right for you.
Hotlines and chats are anonymous. Use a safe phone or safe computer.
xoxo
