Hi all
i left my ex when my daughter was only a newborn due to domestic abuse. Several months later I filed for divorce and we are now at Decree Nisi stage and going through financial disclosure.
My ex has been threatening to take me to court on and off for a while now over contact with our daughter. I have been accused by him of being self centred among other things and now he has to take me to court to get justice. I hope it is a bluff because he is very money driven but I am still so worried. I hear all these horror stories regarding the decisions the courts make and I just want to protect my daughter.
A family member takes dd to see him for a few hours each weekend and then collects her but he is always pushing for more though never during work time it always has to be on his own terms. I won't let him drive her because of drinking and driving, speeding and careless driving plus risk of where he would take her and he is angry about this.
i know worrying is not doing me any good but I am so scared there are major cultural differences between her dad and I and He Has very outdated views on the roles of women but as I never planned to leave my ex until the last assault I always thought I could keep her safe and bring her up to be strong confident and know her own mind.
Sorry to be so waffly but I am in a bit of a state about it. I read on this website re child contact that is a good idea to find if my ex has submitted a statement re child contact. Can anyone advise how I find out? Would my solicitor be made aware if he did submit a statement? He did tick that he did not agree with the statement of arrangements for the children but the court decided that they did not need to intervene at this stage.
Thanks xx
